Quick Game Run-down
To begin the game, you become a Pokémon trainer. Your customizable character comes fully equipped with the essentials, pokéballs, a Pokédex, and a journal. Just like any other game you gain experience points (XP) in order to level up and find new pokémon.
As you explore the augmented reality of the game there are places called Pokéstops where you will find a variety of items which include eggs, Pokéballs, potions, incense, etc. Alongside pokéstops there are gyms where trainers battle other pokémon for the chance to control that location.
